An act to deceit others is quite common among human beings. Most of the act of deceits are very frequent and common among us. Whether we accept it or not, we must have committed smaller or bigger frauds. An employee who claims higher amount of reimbursement of expenses from his employer than he actually incurred is a common type of fraud. There are hundreds of common frauds in today's world and some of the examples are:
1. A dishonest dealer defrauds by false balance in buying as well in selling his goods.
2. Selling low quality cloth at a higher price by misrepresenting the customers. In one of the popular Indian Hotels, a shopkeeper was selling Italian Bags for INR 10k. One of the customers purchased a ladies bag at INR 10k and after some suspicion the customer reported police that she was misrepresented by the seller that bags are imported from Italy. After investigation and interrogation it was observed by police that such bags were not imported and they were manufactured in Delhi only.
3. Compromise in quality of goods is one of the most common example in developing countries. During Diwali Festivals, the demand for sweets get soared which result in to spike in purchases of 'Mawa' (raw material made of milk) from the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is always detected by Police that Mawa manufacturing is adulterated by the manufacturers. Such Mawa is manufactured through less milk and more through harmful materials which appear to be Mawa. The cost of manufacturing such Mawa is quite less in comparison to actual one. It cannot be detected apparently, however after proper due diligence, investigation or investigation it can be identified. Check this
